Timsbury Theatre Group is this year launching a Junior Production to encourage younger people to get on stage. They will perform a whole show tailored for them in June. If you would like your child to be involved please see below.
A fun community pantomime that delivered a delightful evening. Both on and off stage sides working well to give a rounded show that sent the audience home smiling and laughing.
It was lovely to see so many people involved within the show both on and off stage and so many family names and connections within your programme. I'm sure judging by the appreciative applause at the end that you made your audience very happy after enjoying a fun show. I left safe in the knowledge that pantomime is very much alive and thriving in your part of somerset. Thank you for a thouroughly enjoyable evening and for your kind hospitality.

After our hugely successful pantomime we get straight into rehearsals for our spring play which this year is a is a comedic spoof on classic British murder mysteries, set in a 1930s English country manor. The plot revolves around an eclectic group of characters, including the delightfully clueless Inspector Pratt, who bumbles his way through the investigation of a mysterious death. As the inept inspector and his sharp-witted, cynical sidekick, Sergeant Thompkins, attempt to piece together the evidence, secrets are uncovered, alibis crumble, and suspects multiply. The suspects—a quirky mix of aristocrats, their guests, and suspicious staff—each harbour secrets, giving rise to multiple motives and plenty of comedic misdirection. With witty dialogue, slapstick humour, and plenty of red herrings, ‘Murdered to Death’ playfully lampoons the traditional whodunnit while keeping audiences guessing and laughing until the final, unexpected twist.
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW !!
'The island that rocks' was our very first Junior production and wow what a show it was. The juniors worked so hard under the direction of Jo and Bessie to pull together a fabulous evenings entertainment. We hope to continue this next year so keep an eye here and on social media for details.

We held our Annual party in february at the Station Inn at Hallatrow and we had our usual 'Oscar Awards'. This year we introduced the Roger Bird Memorial Award to commemorate our much loved friend and member. This award will be given annually to somebody in the group who has gone above and beyond during our pantomime season. The inaugural award went to Suzanne Morys.
Rehearsals are underway for our next production Allo Allo. Our box office is now open so don't miss out on what we hope will be a very popular show.
We have some very sad news. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of one of our founding members, Roger Bird. He was funny, kind and such a joy to be with. His ability to make the stage his own, whatever part he played, was a joy for the audiences and all of us. We will always remember him with great fondness. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts right now are for Roger’s family. RIP Roger x
